# Print / Save as PDF
Print and Save as PDF can preserve a Word document's tracked changes and comments in the resulting PDF.
# Requirements
- Only applies to .docx files. Once the option is enabled on the server, Save as PDF is only offered for
.docx— other file types fall back to the plain conversion, with no tracked-changes/comments options. - Requires the server-side feature to be enabled. When it isn't, Print and Save as PDF behave exactly as before, with no options dialog.
# Usage
- Right-click a
.docxdocument. - Select Print or Save as PDF.
- The PDF conversion options dialog appears, with two checkboxes (both on by default):
- Include comments
- Include tracked changes
- Uncheck either option to exclude it from the generated PDF, then click Continue. Cancel aborts the print/save.
Save as PDF supports multiple selected documents — each is converted independently. A toast confirms success (Files converted to PDF); a failed file is reported individually. Print with multiple documents selected instead uses the existing email-merge print flow and does not show the PDF options dialog.
# Configuration
No DMS Configuration Center setting — this is a server-side (Epona365 API) feature flag, enabled per tenant on request.
