# Penneo

Penneo is an electronic signing provider. When Penneo is selected as Document signing provider in DocumentSigning, users can right-click a PDF document in Epona365 Web and choose Penneo Sign to create a signing case directly from the document list.

Penneo settings

# Sandbox mode

Enable to use the Penneo sandbox environment (https://sandbox.oauth.penneo.cloud). Leave disabled for production (https://login.penneo.com). Default: off.

# Client ID

The OAuth client ID from the Penneo developer portal. Required for authentication.

# Setup steps

  1. Open DMS Configuration Center.
  2. Open the DocumentSigning category and set Document signing provider to Penneo.
  3. Open the Penneo category.
  4. Enter the Client ID provided by Penneo for your OAuth application.
  5. Enable Sandbox mode if you use a Penneo test environment.
  6. Save the configuration.

This writes the following to the DMS Configuration list in SharePoint:

{
  "documentSigning": {
    "eSigningProvider": 3,
    "penneo": {
      "sandboxMode": {
        "enabled": true
      },
      "clientId": "<your-penneo-oauth-client-id>"
    }
  }
}

eSigningProvider: 3 corresponds to Penneo. Fields with their default values (clientId: "", sandbox mode disabled) are omitted from the saved configuration, so sandboxMode only appears when sandbox mode is enabled.

In addition to the DMS Configuration Center settings, a Client Secret must be stored in Azure Key Vault and a Penneo OAuth application must be registered. See Epona365 Web — Penneo Sign for the full setup steps.
